Churchill would never support BNP, says Churchill's grandson

Nicholas Soames MP, a grandson of war-time leader Sir Winston Churchill, has spoken of his outrage over BNP leader Nick Griffin's claim that the one-time Loughton MP would have supported the far-right party.

He told the Daily Mail: "I object very strongly to the image of my grandfather being used by the BNP in such a way that it is likely to give the impression that he would have condoned or approved of the BNP platform, which is what this does.

"I can't stop any of that. The law does not allow for Churchill's family to protest against the image being used - if it did, you can rest assured that we would pursue all ends to do so.

"So I am writing to the Electoral Commission to ask them to have a look and see what they can do.

"This isn't about being anti-BNP. I rejoice that we live in a vigorous, splendid democracy where people - however odious - can launch their own political platform and put it before the country. This is about the use of the image ...

"My grandfather died a long time ago, but he would never support a party whose platform is hate. Never."

Meanwhile, the Daily Telegraph reveals that Nick Griffin is seeking close ties with the Austrian far-right FPO. He wrote to the FPO leader: "We in Britain are impressed to see that you have been able to combine principled nationalism with electoral success. We are sure that this gives you a good springboard for the European elections and we hope very much that we will be able to join you in a successful nationalist block in Brussels next year."

The FPO was founded by former SS explosives expert Herbert Schweiger, who continues to be active in the party. The 85 year old, who describes his current activity as educating people in "the fundamentals of Nazism", told the Telegraph that "Our time is coming again and soon we will have another leader like Hitler ... The Jew on Wall Street is responsible for the world’s current economic crisis. It is the same now as in 1929 when 90 per cent of money was in the hands of the Jew. Hitler had the right solutions then."

Nick Soames is therefore right to protest at the misuse of Churchill's name and identity by the BNP, which continues to seek out alliances with the FPO which was founded by those involved in Hitler's Nazi regime.

You forget that members of the BNP also had members of their families fighting in the world wars

My father uncles cousin also two brother went of to all the wars theatres and many never returned, and all was volunteers.

When the BNP lie cheat or embezzle their fellow countryman then condemn us

But for many the BNP is Britain saviour and the only ones standing against this traitorous parliament

Most people have had members of their families fighting in the war and most don't vote for the BNP.

The fact is that the BNP was set up by people who have had a long association with openly Nazi organisations. I am not using "Nazi" as an off-hand perjorative - these are people who propagate the myth of a Jewish conspiracy running the world, who find Hitler an inspiration and who believe the Nazi Holocaust of Jews, Gypsies, Homosexuals, the disabled and others never happened. Moreover, many of them have acted on their prejudices with violence, some some running up a series of convictions for assault. Tyndall made no secret of his beliefs, neither did his second in command Richard Edmonds, who attended a recent Epping Forest BNP fund-raising event.

I find it hard to believe that all these men collectively and simultaneously changed their minds. They are lying to you. Some BNP members like Pat Richardson are lying to themselves, convincing themselves that this party is really OK.

There are many ways to mobilise against political corruption and mismanagement. And issues such as immigration or EU membership should be openly debated. But voting for this extremist party is an act of treachery since it is a vote for an ideology that millions across Europe died fighting against. Frankly, the BNP scares the hell out of me and I am white-skinned!

Simon,
The BNP are trying to get an autopsy report on the death of Paul Flack. They know he died of an overdose. Can you imagine what this will do to Whitehouse, the Libs and the Labour party.
They know whats been going on, they have some one on the inside.
They are getting so organised now, they have people everywhere. They have researched Brookes father, they know all about him. They are researching all of us, going back years to when it was safe.

What a disgusting thing to say. The BNP are very much alive, and so are the Doctors, Nurses, Electricians, Lawyers, Teachers, Decorators on the BNP list who will be voting for the party in the up coming elections. The holocaust happened 50yrs ago, and was the most awfull thing to have ever happened. But there have many others since. Africa for example is an on going holocaust thanks to Europe throwing money at it instead of trading with it. And at the same time doing nothing about the dictators that keep them poor. Think back in history and you will find more. This blog is obviously attached to the violent UAF. You know the group who hit an inocent BNP member with a claw hammer. There was a witness who said they were like animals. You talk about the BNP being Nazi's. Who is it that attacks Jews with regularity, but gets away with it because they are Muslims. Two years ago Jewish cemeteries were smashed in the East End. Straight away the far right were blamed. When it was found that Muslims were to blame, it was quietly dropped. So while you are busy spending all your time trying to stop the BNP, your real enemies are overlooked.

Curchill would never support the BNP - oh really? Then maybe some of you who have your heads in the sand, constantly calling the BNP Nazi's would like to read this. And one has to wonder, what he would call Searchlight and the violent UAF.
River War: An Historical Account of the Reconquest of the Soudan (first edition, Vol. II, pages 248-50, London: Longmans, Green & Co., 1899).

“How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy.

“The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity.

“The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.

“Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities — but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world.

“Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome.”

Sir Winston’s comments on immigration would also disqualify him from membership of today’s Conservative Party. During a cabinet meeting in early February 1953, he remarked that he had considered blocking all immigration to Britain because he feared a growing “coloured population” was posing a threat to Britain’s social stability.

Churchill, then 79, told Cabinet colleagues that he did not “want a parti-coloured UK.” At a Cabinet meeting on February 3, 1954, the prime minister told colleagues: “Problems will arise if many coloured people settle here. Are we to saddle ourselves with colour problems in UK?”

Churchill said immigrants were attracted to Britain by the welfare state and he said: “Public opinion in UK won’t tolerate it once it gets beyond certain limits.”

If Churchill were to make either of these speeches to a Conservative Party meeting today, he would be expelled - and hence he would be in the BNP.

Have you actually bothered to read the article? The BNP are linked up with an Austrian party that was started and led by people who were involved in the original Nazi government. Don't you think that Churchill would think the BNP were a bunch of traitors to this country for working with former members of the SS?

Yes I have read it. And the people who are now in the party want to pull out of Europe and stop all futher immigration, which appears to be of major concern for the majority in this country. This will be done via the ballot box, as there is no interest or reason in doing it any other way. They will leave the violence and intimidation to the UAF and their backers. And given the disgusting, self serving traiters in parliament right now, it promises to be interesting at the very least. Cowardly Polititions usually say they will not share a platform with the BNP. Let us see if they will get away with it this time.

I have just thought of something else which is quite important. If as politicians and the far-left are always telling us that the BNP is useless and stupid, then the best way to prove this is go head to head with them in public, TV and radio. Let's hear what they all have to say. That way people can make an informed choice.

Why do they have to link up with these extremist types in Austria? There's another article on this website about the BNP in a conference with extremist groups and ex-terrorists. If the BNP are not extremists why do they hang out with these types?
